Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Lucas Oil Center & Car Wash in Evansville. Every time I bring my GOV in for a wash, I have my WEX card ready to pay, but they almost always end up providing the wash free of charge. Their customer service is outstanding, and it’s clear they genuinely appreciate and support our military community. They consistently treat service members and veterans with respect and kindness, which means a lot. If you’re a veteran, active-duty military member, or just looking for a business that values its customers, I highly recommend Lucas Oil Center & Car Wash. They’ve earned my business, and I’ll continue coming back. Thank you for supporting those who serve!

Service was quick and extremely professional! Their prices were fair and the staff were knowledgeable. Not pushy at all in suggesting additional services, and when I asked them about other products, I felt they were honest in telling me what I would and would not need. Also, don’t want to leave out the fact that the waiting room is clean and comfortable, even has a small cafe and two massage chairs! Will definitely be back the next time I need an oil change.

Such a cool place. Kind and very professional folks. Had me in and out in 15 mins for oil change and tire rotation. I got synthetic oil whatever that means but it was a total of $108. There’s a slight new customer discount.

Excellent service all around, definitely be returning in the future. Huge shoutout to Tabitha and Noah for assisting me today with my front and rear differential fluid change. Upon arrival, Noah immediately greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile as I exited my vehicle and efficiently gathered all the details about the service I needed. He communicated clearly throughout the process and handled the differential service professionally. Noah also went above and beyond when I requested a last-minute inspection of my power steering fluid. He took the time to check it without hesitation, which I truly appreciated. Tabitha was friendly and kind during both the check-in and check-out process. I had several questions about additional automotive services the company offers and who I could speak with regarding future needs. She was patient, welcoming, and provided me with a business card to connect with someone who has the expertise I’m looking for.

My truck runs so much more smoothly now after that oil change. The mechanic was very nice and helpful by explaining things to me. They did a wonderful job. Also the waiting area is so awesome! They have like a little store and drinks you can buy while you wait. Which wasn't that long, of a wait before I was out and running again. The receptionist that helped me was so cool! Very nice lady. She gave me a discount for it being my first time there. I'm definitely making this place my go to for oil changes!❤️
